Proposals
of 400-500 words must be prepared for anonymous review, with a separate
cover letter (specifying paper title, name, institutional affiliation
and contact info). Particularly welcome are papers that seek to explore
Weil’s relationship with one or a few political ideologies (Marxism,
socialism, republicanism, anarchism, conservatism, liberalism) or with a
specific author in the history of ideas (Plato, La Boétie, Machiavelli,
Rousseau, Marx, Nietzsche, Trotsky, etc). But as always, proposals
dealing with other topics will be considered.
Proposals should be sent by Nov. 15th 2017 to the conference organizers:
Sophie Bourgault (sbourgau@uottawa.ca) and Julie Daigle (jdaig103@uottawa.ca). Proposals will be peer-reviewed.
