Free. In English. Registration is required.
This workshop explores the difficult ethical questions that arise as migrants try, or are forced, to cross borders. We ask: Is there a right to immigration? What obligations do we have when individuals are forced to migrate against their will? What counts as coerced migration? When is “this is our territory” a good reason to limit access to migrants desiring entry and when can it be superseded by migrants’ rights?
Those wishing to attend should be in touch with Patti Tamara Lenard (GSPIA) at patti.lenard@uottawa.ca to confirm their interest.
