Biography:

Benjamin P. Davis is Postdoctoral Fellow in Ethics at the University of Toronto, Centre for Ethics. His research analyzes questions of human rights theory and practice through the lens of Caribbean and Continental philosophy. His work has been published (or will appear shortly) in journals like Comparative and Continental Philosophy, the Journal of Human Rights Practice, Hypatia, and Culture, Theory and Critique.  He is currently working on two books: one on Édouard Glissant’s ethics and the other on Simone Weil’s political philosophy.
