Three hundred years ago, a man was born who made an indelible impression during his time. Denis Diderot (1713-1784), a revolutionary, visionary, and rebellious author, who was vilified and excommunicated, was at the heart of a great encyclopedic project. 
The Archives and Special Collections of the Morisset Library invites you to discover one of its masterpieces, the Encyclopédie, ou, Dictionnaire raisonné des sciences, des arts et des métiers, and works from main Enlightenment  era collaborators: Boucher d’Argis, d’Alembert, d’Holbach, Louis, Rousseau, Toussaint, Voltaire.
Each month, different volumes of texts and plates of the 39 volumes encyclopedia will be displayed until December 2013 for your enjoyment.

Il y a trois cent ans, naquit un homme qui a laissé une trace indélébile de son passage.  Denis Diderot (1713-1784), auteur révolutionnaire, visionnaire, contestataire, mais aussi calomnié et excommunié, est au cœur d’un immense projet encyclopédique.
Les Archives et collections spéciales de la bibliothèque Morisset vous invite à découvrir l’un de ses chefs d’œuvres: l’Encyclopédie, ou, Dictionnaire raisonné des sciences, des arts et des métiers ainsi que les œuvres de plusieurs autres auteurs du Siècle des Lumières qui y ont collaborés (Boucher d’Argis, d’Alembert, d’Holbach, Louis, Rousseau, Toussaint, Voltaire).
À chaque mois jusqu’en décembre 2013, de nouveaux volumes de textes et des planches, tirés de l’intégral en 39 volumes de l’Encyclopédie, seront exposés pour le plus grand plaisir des visiteurs.

Tracking persons, that is, determining that a person now is or is not a specific earlier person, is extremely common and widespread in our way of life and extremely important. If so, figuring out what we are tracking, what it is to persist as a person over a period of time, is also important. Trying to figure this out will be the main focus of this paper.
